  • Search methods for eight lines of automobile GPS tracker

Many novice users who have been exposed to GPS tracker for the first time do not know anything about the installation of GPS, resulting in disorderly installation. If the product function is not fully realized or the positioning accuracy is not as good as the manufacturer's description, the wiring problem may be the influencing factor. The following is the most comprehensive description of how to connect.

    Power line

The power cord of the car is generally found in the wiring harness inside the decorative panel below the steering wheel and the harness of the central electrical box. Connect directly to the positive electrode of the battery when possible. searching method:Pull out the key, find the thickest line, use the test light (or test pencil) at one end and the other end on the line connector.

    ACC signal line

The ACC line is generally found in the wiring harness inside the decorative panel below the steering wheel and in the harness of the central electrical box. ACC signal line is the main basis for the host to judge whether the vehicle is in the starting state. Searching method: Find the thicker wire in the fuse of the ignition switch, use one end of the test lamp to tie the iron, and the other end to test ON the connection of the line. When the ignition switch is turned off, the test light is off. This connection is the ACC line.

    Turn signal line

The turn signal line is generally found in the wiring harness inside the decorative panel below the steering wheel, the harness of the central electrical box, and the harness inside the left and right front doors. Most cars have two lines on the left and right, but few have four lines on the front, back, left and right. searching method: Because the left and right colors of the small lights, brake lights and reversing lights are the same, we can combine the light before and after, compare the color of the left and right wire bundles, find out the turning light lines, see their color and size, and then find the same color line in the wiring harness of the car. Use one end of the test lamp to tie the iron and the other end to test on the line. When turning on the left or right turn signal switch, test the line with the test lamp.

    Brake line

The brake line can be found at the brake light switch above the foot brake.  Searching method: find the brake light switch and test it with one end of the test lamp, the other end at the switch joint. One of these lines should have a constant current, the other one should have electricity after stepping on the foot brake, and the one without electricity after loosening the foot brake is the brake cable.

    Oil and electricity broken line

The broken oil and electricity line of the platform is connected to the positive line of the oil pump. The positive line of oil pump can be found in oil tank, left or right front door wire harness, central electrical box. Searching method: find the thicker line in the wire bundle, use one end of the test lamp to tie the iron, the other end is tested on the joint of the line. When the ignition switch is in "ON" mode and the vehicle is not started, the line is charged for a short period of 2 to 3 seconds and then restored to the initial state without power. After starting the engine, the line is always positive, so this line is the positive line of the oil pump.

    Stern signal line

The stern door signal wire is connected to the stern door control switch line. This wire can be found in the aft trunk, left or right front door wire harness. Generally, there are two kinds of connection modes: positive and negative trigger. When opening the tailgate, the trigger line of the tailgate is positive, and when closing the tailgate, the trigger line of the tailgate is positive. When the tailgate is opened, the trigger line of the tailgate is grounded; when the tailgate is closed, the trigger line of the tailgate is positive or negative.

    Side door signal line

The side door signal line is connected to the door control switch line. It can be found in the left and right front door wire harness. The original door control switch line has two trigger methods: positive trigger and negative trigger. In addition, the original door control switch line can be connected in two ways: four door control switch lines are connected together. The traditional connection mode and module control are adopted. Finding method: for the traditional way of connecting four door control switch wires together, it is ok to connect them directly to a single door control switch wire. Look at the color and size of the gate switch line at the gate switch, then find the same color line in the front door harness. Test with one end of the test lamp and the other end on the connection of the line: when opening the side door, the trigger line of the side door is energized, and when closing the side door, the trigger line of the side door is positively triggered. When opening the side door, the trigger line of the side door is grounded. When closing the side door, the trigger line of the side door is charged, that is a negative trigger.

    Speaker line

The horn line can be found in the wiring harness, central electrical box wiring harness and loudspeaker in the trim panel below the steering wheel. There are four ways to connect the original horn. The horn can still be pressed when the ignition switch is turned off. The horn relay controls the horn fire line (either positive or negative trigger). The horn can still be pressed when the ignition switch is turned off. The horn relay controls the ground wire of the horn (negative trigger). The horn cannot be pressed until the ignition switch is turned on. The horn relay controls the horn fire line (positive trigger). The horn can only be pressed when the ignition switch is turned on. The horn relay controls the ground wire of the horn.
